KONSELING KELUARGA BROKEN HOME: BUKTI DARI KUA MAYAMUK KABUPATEN SORONG, PAPUA BARAT

This study aims to determine the factors causing the occurrence of a broken home family, the role of family counseling, and family counseling efforts at KUA Mayamuk SP III in responding to the case of a broken home. The research method used is qualitative with a descriptive approach. Data were collected through literature, observation, and interviews. The results showed that: 1) the factors behind the occurrence of a broken home at KUA Mayamuk SP III were: lack of communication, lack of honesty, busy husband and wife, the rights and obligations of husband and wife were not fulfilled, the presence of a third party, separated beds, and the occurrence of domestic violence. 2) The role of family counseling for broken home families at KUA Mayamuk SP III includes: providing consulting services to troubled married couples, providing mediation services, and providing guidance and counseling services.
