POLA ASUH ORANG TUA DALAM PEMBENTUKAN KARAKTER INDIVIDU: STUDI KASUS TUNGGAL PADA USIA DEWASA AWAL

The role of parenting styles in shaping individual character, particularly in young adulthood (20 years). This study highlights various types of authoritarian, permissive, and democratic parenting styles and their impact on the development of children's traits, values, and behavior. Through a qualitative case study, it was found that democratic parenting styles based on open communication, trust, and responsive emotional management can produce individuals who are independent, responsible, and possess high moral integrity. Conversely, authoritarian and permissive styles tend to produce less than optimal character traits, such as rigid personalities and a lack of discipline. The importance of parents as role models, building effective communication, and paying attention to emotional aspects are key factors in the process of forming positive character. These findings confirm that appropriate and responsive parenting styles can support the development of healthy and competitive character
